I remember when we were just kids
When love was far from our minds
When holding hands meant friendship
Not the liking of a different kind


When hugging was just an expression
Of how much we treasured each other
When conversation was just talking
Without our hearts beating faster


I ought to just forgo thoughts like these. Gone are the days and they'll never come back.
